The Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Musket Rifle is a 20 gauge flintlock that is a reproduction of the trading rifles of the 1700’s. The Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Musket is a reporoduction of the rifles that were used by the most well known trading companies (Northwest Co., Hudson’s Bay Co., American Fur Co.) for trading between American Indians and the white hunters. The musket sports the classical styling of European muskets produced both by European manufacturers and by the most well known American manufacturers, such as Leman, Henry, Tryon and Deringer. The shortened design made it easy for frontiersmen to carry on foot or on horseback. The Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Musket Rifle features a 51 1/4″ American Walnut one-piece stock in satin finish which is accented by beautiful large triggerguard bow, and a brass serpent sideplate.
The Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Rifle features a 36 1/4″ octagon breech to round barrel w/wedding band transition. The Indian Trade Musket comes in a 20 gauge smoothbore with brass blade sights and wooden ramrod. This Indian Trade Rifle is an exact reproduction manufactured by Pedersoli™ in Italy. The rifle is designed to use 5/8″ flints and features a single trigger for accurate shooting. Brass furniture, color case-hardened lock and a large trigger guard that was typical of these guns, give the rifle an antique look.
The Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Musket is 52″ in overall length and weighs 7 1/4 lbs. This Pedersoli™ Indian Trade Musket Rifle is great to take out in the field or simply display on your wall.
